Last updated: April 7, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
Verum.legal is a product of North Ventures LLC ("Verum," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Verum is a document preparation and delivery platform. We use artificial intelligence technology to assist users in drafting legal correspondence, including but not limited to cease and desist letters, demand letters, DMCA takedown notices, and other formal communications. We also provide delivery services for these documents via email, certified mail, SMS, fax, and other channels.
Important: Verum is NOT a law firm and does NOT provide legal advice, legal representation, or attorney-client relationships. We are a document preparation and delivery service. You are the sole author and signatory of all documents created through our platform. No attorney-client relationship is formed between you and Verum, or between you and any attorney whose services may be offered through our platform, unless you separately and explicitly enter into such a relationship. If you require legal advice, please consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
4. User Accounts
You may be required to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
5. User Responsibilities and Accuracy of Information
By using the Service, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, truthful, and complete information when using our document preparation and delivery services, including but not limited to recipient names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and fax numbers
- Review all documents thoroughly before authorizing their delivery
- Verify that all recipient contact information is correct and up to date
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Not use the Service to harass, threaten, defame, or intimidate any person
- Not send fraudulent, misleading, or bad-faith correspondence through our platform
- Not use the Service for any purpose that could constitute a criminal offense or give rise to civil liability
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise access the source code of the Service
- Not interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
You acknowledge and agree that Verum is not responsible for any failure of delivery, misdirected correspondence, or other issues arising from inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information provided by you. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that all recipient details and case-related information are correct before authorizing delivery.
6. Document Preparation
All documents prepared through our Service are AI-assisted drafts created for your review, editing, and approval. You acknowledge and agree that:
- You are the sole author and signatory of all documents created through the Service. Verum acts only as a preparation tool.
- AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all content before authorizing delivery.
- Verum makes no representation or warranty that any document prepared through the Service is legally sufficient, enforceable, or appropriate for your specific situation.
- The effectiveness of any legal correspondence depends on many factors outside our control, including the recipient's willingness to comply, applicable laws, and the specific circumstances of your case.
- We do not guarantee any specific outcome, response, or result from any document sent through the Service.
7. Delivery Channels and Disclaimers
We offer multiple delivery channels for your correspondence. You acknowledge and agree that Verum does not and cannot guarantee the successful delivery, receipt, opening, reading, or response to any correspondence sent through any delivery channel. Specifically:
7.1 Email Delivery
- We do not guarantee that emails will reach the recipient's inbox. Emails may be filtered, blocked, or routed to spam/junk folders by the recipient's email provider.
- We do not guarantee that the recipient will open, read, or respond to any email sent through our Service.
- Open tracking, IP tracking, and location tracking are provided on a best-effort basis and may not be accurate in all circumstances. Tracking data may be affected by VPNs, proxy servers, email clients that block tracking pixels, and other technical factors.
- Tracking data is informational only and should not be relied upon as legal proof of receipt or reading.
7.2 Certified USPS Mail
- Certified mail delivery is subject to the policies, procedures, and limitations of the United States Postal Service (USPS). We are not responsible for delays, losses, or failures caused by USPS or any other postal carrier.
- Delivery tracking and proof of delivery are provided by USPS, not Verum. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy or completeness of USPS tracking information.
- We do not guarantee that the intended recipient will personally receive, sign for, or read any certified mail sent through our Service.
- Physical letters are printed and sent under Verum.legal branding on your behalf. This does not create any representation that Verum is a party to your legal matter.
7.3 SMS Delivery
- We do not guarantee that SMS messages will be delivered to the recipient's phone. Message delivery depends on carrier networks, recipient phone settings, and other factors beyond our control.
- We do not guarantee that the recipient will open, read, or click on any links contained in SMS messages.
- Link click tracking is provided on a best-effort basis and may not capture all interactions.
- SMS delivery requires a valid phone number with SMS capability provided by you. We are not responsible for messages sent to incorrect or invalid numbers.
7.4 Fax Delivery
- We do not guarantee that fax transmissions will be successfully received by the recipient. Fax delivery depends on the recipient's fax machine being operational, connected, and able to receive transmissions.
- Fax transmission confirmations indicate only that our system attempted to send the fax. A confirmation does not guarantee that the fax was received, printed, or read by the intended recipient.
- We are not responsible for faxes sent to incorrect or invalid fax numbers provided by you.
7.5 General Delivery Disclaimers
- We do not guarantee the deliverability of any correspondence through any channel.
- We are not responsible for any recipient's failure to open, read, respond to, or comply with any correspondence.
- Delivery through multiple channels does not guarantee receipt through any individual channel.
- Follow-up messages are sent on an automated schedule and we make no guarantee that they will result in a response from the recipient.
- All tracking data (including open tracking, click tracking, IP addresses, and geographic location data) is provided for informational purposes only and may not be accurate or complete.
8. Attorney Review Services
Verum may offer an optional attorney review service, whereby a licensed attorney reviews, edits, and co-signs correspondence prepared through the Service. You acknowledge and agree that:
- The attorney review service is an optional add-on and is not required to use the Service.
- Attorney review does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Verum. Any attorney-client relationship, if formed, exists solely between you and the reviewing attorney under separate terms.
- Attorney review does not guarantee any specific legal outcome, enforceability, or effectiveness of the correspondence.
- Verum is not a party to any attorney-client relationship and is not liable for the quality, accuracy, or legal sufficiency of any attorney's work.
- The attorney co-signature signifies professional review of the document, not legal representation of your interests in the underlying matter.
9. Confidentiality and Data Handling
We take the confidentiality of your information seriously. You acknowledge and agree that:
- We do not share, sell, distribute, or disclose the content of your letters, correspondence, or case details with any third parties, except as strictly necessary to provide the Service (e.g., transmitting documents to the intended recipient via your selected delivery channels).
- Your documents and personal information are used solely for the purpose of preparing and delivering correspondence on your behalf.
- We do not use the content of your letters for marketing, advertising, training, or any purpose other than providing the Service to you.
- We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
- In the event of a legal obligation (such as a valid court order, subpoena, or law enforcement request), we may be required to disclose certain information. We will comply with applicable law in such circumstances.
- Please refer to our Privacy Policy for complete details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.
10. Fees and Payment
Fees for the Service are displayed at the time of purchase. All fees are in U.S. dollars and are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time, but changes will not affect orders already placed.
Payment processing is handled by third-party payment processors. By making a purchase, you agree to the terms and privacy policies of the applicable payment processor. Verum does not store your full payment card information.
11. No Guarantees of Outcome
Critical Disclaimer: Verum does not and cannot guarantee any specific outcome, response, compliance, or result from any correspondence prepared or delivered through our Service. Sending a legal letter does not guarantee that the recipient will comply with your demands, cease any activity, pay any amount, or take any action. The effectiveness of legal correspondence depends on numerous factors entirely outside our control.
You acknowledge and understand that using Verum does not substitute for obtaining legal representation, filing a lawsuit, or pursuing other legal remedies. If the recipient does not respond to or comply with your correspondence, Verum has no obligation or ability to enforce your demands on your behalf.
12. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality (excluding user-generated content), is owned by North Ventures LLC and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of the information and content you provide. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to use your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NORTH VENTURES LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:
- Your use of or inability to use the Service
- Any failure to deliver correspondence to the intended recipient through any delivery channel
- Any recipient's failure to open, read, respond to, or comply with any correspondence
- Any inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information provided by you
- The legal effectiveness, enforceability, or appropriateness of any document prepared through the Service
- Any actions taken or not taken by a recipient in response to correspondence sent through the Service
- Inaccuracies in tracking data, including open tracking, click tracking, IP data, or location data
- Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
- Delays, failures, or interruptions in USPS mail delivery, SMS delivery, fax transmission, or email delivery caused by third-party services
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DOCUMENTS PREPARED THROUGH THE SERVICE WILL ACHIEVE YOUR DESIRED LEGAL OUTCOME. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY TRACKING DATA PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY DELIVERY CHANNEL WILL SUCCESSFULLY DELIVER YOUR CORRESPONDENCE TO THE INTENDED RECIPIENT.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless North Ventures LLC, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) any correspondence prepared or sent through the Service on your behalf; (c) any inaccurate, misleading, or incomplete information provided by you; (d) your violation of these Terms; (e) your violation of any rights of a third party; or (f) any claim by a recipient of correspondence sent through the Service.
16. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Service to:
- Send correspondence that is fraudulent, defamatory, threatening, or constitutes harassment or stalking
- Impersonate any person, business, or entity
- Send correspondence that violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law
- Attempt to extort, blackmail, or coerce any person or entity
- Send unsolicited bulk communications or spam
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the Service
We reserve the right to refuse service, suspend accounts, or report illegal activity to law enforcement at our sole discretion.
17. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify. The Federal Arbitration Act and federal arbitration law apply to these Terms.
CLASS ACTION WAIVER: You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.
18. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Any provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution provisions.
19. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts located in Wilmington, Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
20. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if modification is not possible, severed from these Terms. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
21. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
